How does the $5 credit work?
Every new user receives a $5 credit to explore the Backboard's memory. With BYOK from your frontier models and/or OpenRouter, these APIs will now be stateful with Adaptive Context Management (ACM) and web serch. No credit card required.
What's included in the free plan?
The free plan includes core API access, stateful usage, BYOK (bring your own key), and free RAG and memory during the trial period. There's no minimum monthly spend required.
How does billing work?
We bill based on your selected plan's minimum monthly spend. Usage beyond that (RAG reads, memory operations) is billed at the stated per-operation rates. No hidden fees or unexpected charges.
Can I switch plans anytime?
Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. When upgrading, you'll be charged the prorated difference. When downgrading, you'll receive credit toward future billing cycles.
Do you offer team or enterprise plans?
Yes! Our Scale plan ($400/mo) includes SOC 2 compliance, FDE (Full Data Encryption), priority support, and team collaboration features. Contact us for custom enterprise requirements.
What happens if I exceed my plan limits?
You'll be charged for overage at the per-operation rates for your plan. We'll notify you when you approach your limits so you can adjust or upgrade as needed.
